Faultory / Field notes

Terms.

Basic terms for using Faultory’s independent educational investigations.

Updated 31 October 2026

Faultory is created by Yunus Emre Vurgun. It provides independent educational investigations based on linked source material.

Educational use and limits

You may browse, investigate, link to cases and export your own notebook. Case prompts simplify complex records for learning. Content can contain errors, change over time or leave questions unresolved. It is not professional engineering, safety, medical, financial or legal advice and should not be relied on to make real-world safety-critical decisions.

Respect the site and the record

Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, misuse its infrastructure or use it unlawfully. Original site text, design and code belong to their creator unless a separate license says otherwise. Source documents and third-party material retain their own rights. A public link does not grant permission to republish a source or this entire collection.

Your notebook and availability

Your progress is held by your browser, without an account or cloud backup. You are responsible for keeping an export if you want a backup. Browser settings, storage limits, site updates or device changes can affect availability. The project may change or become unavailable; no uninterrupted service or particular publication schedule is promised.

External websites and purchases

Source links and book links lead to independent services. Any ebook purchase takes place on Gumroad under the product information, seller terms and checkout conditions shown there. Faultory does not collect payments or card details.

Questions and changes

Report errors or questions through the creator’s contact page. These terms may be revised as the project changes. Nothing here is intended to exclude rights or obligations that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
